Polygon ID offers a solution for creating and managing a self-sovereign digital identity, enabling users to provide proof of their access rights and reputation without disclosing personal information. Users can manage verifiable claims and generate private proofs for digital interactions using this open-source identity system that prioritizes privacy through zero-knowledge cryptography (zkSNARK).
With the Polygon ID app, users gain access to web3 and web2 services and the ability to conduct private on-chain verifications.
Key Features:
- Secure authentication options including biometrics or a 6-digit PIN
- Identity recovery through a seed phrase mechanism
How to Obtain Claims:
- Scan an issuer’s QR code
- Follow the connection steps to link your identity with the issuer and retrieve your claims
- Store and manage your claims securely in your wallet
Presenting Private Proofs:
- Scan a verifier’s QR code
- Accept the proof request displayed in your wallet
- Generate and share private proof of your claims with the verifier
